1901 census
In 1901 the Norton family lived at 70, Seymour Road, Mile End, Portsmouth. The father, Albert E., 34, a Carpenter, his wife Francis E., 35, daughter, Mabel E., age 10, a Scholar, William B., 6, also a Scholar, born Havant, Hants, and Frederick G., 3 months.
1911 census
By 1911 they had moved to North Road, Bosham, Chichester. Albert Edward, Carpenter, and Francis Emily, both 43, had been married for 22 years and had had 4 children all still living, Mabel Emily, 20, Domestic servant, William Bertram, 16, Apprentice Carpenter, Fredrick (sic) George, 10, and Edward Horace, 7.
Sometime after 1911 the Norton family moved from Bosham to Canning Road, Felpham to a property named “Sunnyside”. See “St. Mary’s burials” and the “Index to St. Mary’s churchyard”.
